China’s output of primary aluminum in November dropped for a fifth consecutive month to 2.35 million tons, down 7.7% from 2.546 million tons in October and down 16.8% over the same period last year, according to data released by NBSC on Dec. 14.

The primary aluminum production totaled 29.54 million tons from January to November, an increase of 1.7% over the same period last year, and is expected to set an annual record high for the whole year. China’s aluminum production in 2016 was 31.9 million tons.
