Jinjiang Group on Nov. 16 held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new alumina refinery project. Located in Longzhou city of Guangxi Province, a border city between China and Vietnam, the project will build an alumina refinery with an annual output of 1 million tons in 24 months, with a total investment of 3.8 billion yuan ($567 million dollars). According to the plan, the project will eventually be expanded to an annual output of 2 million tons.
